Suburban Vibes returns to Subiaco

From seasoned performers to the best up-and-comers, dive into some incredible live music in Subiaco from 7-16 October 2022.

Adrian Dzvuke plays at ‘Sunday In the Square’ with King Ibis, The Little Lord Street Band & Dulcie on 16th October

After hosting countless stripped-back performances in gorgeous venues across Perth for music lovers of all ages, Suburban Vibes returns for another season in Subiaco with 23 must-see artists playing in nine iconic Subiaco spaces.

Brought to you in partnership with See Subiaco this year’s program will see seasoned performers and the best up-and-coming musicians playing in gardens, laneways, bars, and breweries across 10 days at both free and ticketed shows.

Heavy hitters – Katy Steele & Timothy Nelson – are collaborating for a special intimate event for just 100 people at the landmark Subiaco Hotel.

Set to be your new favourite after-work destination with free events throughout the series, bring your own picnic blanket and drinks to Hiddlestone Lane where, under the festoon lights, you can catch some big energy roots from mesmerising guitarist/singer Ben Catley, as well as music and storytelling from Savanah Soloman, Jordy Maxwell, Sash Seabourne and Darcie Haven.

Hear the best in indie-folk from Ulla, Sam Coombes & Jay Grafton at Bar Loiter, and catch soulful sounds from Della Flora & Alexia Parenzee and Olivia & Reuben De Melo at Subiaco’s newest wine bars – Bar Amelie and Lums.

Slide guitar aficionado Mikey Long is playing at El Peruvian accompanied by authentic Peruvian food, Tanya Ransom, Sam McGovern & Austin Mackay are playing a special event at Little Things Gin; and Subiaco’s newest brewery – Golden West Brewery – will host Keeley Connolly & Riley Pearce.

The series closes on a high with a garden event in Market Square Park with hot WA talent, including all-girl indie-pop band Dulcie, country faves The Little Lord Street Band, quirky foursome King Ibis; and the in-demand Advrian Dzvuke with his soulful mixture of Afrobeats, R&B and pop. With food trucks, a coffee cart, ice-cream, and pop-ups – it's a free day out for the whole family.

Suburban Vibes was formed in 2016 by husband-and-wife team Jono and Regan Grant when they spontaneously staged Nathan Hawes in the backyard of their home after a social media call-out for an informal venue presented itself. Drawn to the personalised and intimate experience with the musicians, Suburban Vibes was born.

“We’ll be bringing our rugs and festoons to create a super cosy vibe,” says organiser Regan Grant.

“Suburban Vibes is about creating a space of intimate and chilled performances from amazing musicians. We want you to immerse yourself in their music and stories and to experience these performers in a more vulnerable stripped back environment.”

Subiaco is renowned for its eclectic architecture and multicultural dining scene, making it the ideal destination to host this exclusive music series. By day, it's one of Perth's most vibrant districts with a friendly, cosmopolitan atmosphere. By night, Subiaco becomes a hub of activity, with locals and visitors flocking to its restaurants, pubs, clubs, and theatres.

Suburban Vibes in Subiaco runs from Friday 7th - Sunday 16th October and is an initiative of See Subiaco. For more information and to buy tickets, head to www.seesubiaco.com.au
